Bryson, Laelyn and Cash

This will be my first post using the new interface Blogger has converted to. I have been experimenting with the commands and found they are all the same as the old version with the exception of the interface layout. This new version makes it easier to convert your blog to book form which I am in the process of doing. It takes a tremendous amount of time to go through over 600 plus posts and gramma check each one before the post is submitted. I started this project back in January and worked for a couple of months. Work stopped in March which is the start of my fishing season so hopefully, I will get back on track in November. This project reminds me of my Ancestry work I started right after I retired, which took roughly two years. I hope this blog to book project is finished before two years. Landing those trout, spotted bass, and bluegill is more important than the blog to book project right now.

I'm still spending my Tuesday's and Thursday's fishing the lake now and very little time on the Sipsey Tailrace because of the tremendous amount of generating that is taking place on Smith Lake.  The generation will slow down after Labor Day. Cathey and I always enjoy spending time with the grandchildren the following pictures were taken on their last visit.

Bryson on a recent trip landing one the largest crappie he has ever landed

His sister Laelyn got in on the action as well!!

Bryson, Cash, and I hiked to the top of Rock Hill near their home in Springhill, Tennessee last week. The largest White Oak tree at the summit was the perfect place to get this photo.

  1. Hi Bill, great to see how fishing brings such big smiles to the grandchildren's faces. Far better the outdoors than a smartphone or playstation! Labour Day is a long time to wait for the trout action to pick up again - luckily you have other species to target in the meantime.

  3. Bill I have not tried the new blogger. I don't do well with tech changes.
You seem to have summer figured out, fish early with the grand kids and enjoy it tremendously.

  4. If Yuki saw Bryson with a Crappie that size, he'd probably mug him. Yuki is obsessed with Crappies. I can see a Crappie dinner there.

I guess I made that statement about fishing the Sipsey after Labor Day because I am so frustrated that I can't fish it now. I may get to squeeze in a trip Friday.
I am lucky that all my grandchildren love the outdoors! Thanks for the comment

I am getting more familiar with some of the features now that I completed this post. I am sure there are other features I haven't used which is an improvement over the old Blogger version. Love my Greadchilren, you have that to look forward to one day. Thanks for the comment

Bryson and Laelyn landed both those crappies in this 10 area lake in a park near our home. Cathey and I walk in the park all the time and I never knew there was crappie in the lake until the kids landed those. Thanks for the comment

I have been wanting to convert my blog to a book for some time and the new Blogger makes it easier for me to do that. The book is not for sale but merely a collection of some of the posts that I've done over the years for my children and grandchildren to enjoy reading in years to come. One never knows when and how someday all our blogs could disappear from the web. Thanks for the comment
