The green Dragon Fly was the winner at daylight off the walls this morning. I started casting at 5:30 and fished for about an hour and came in with a nice meal. What can I say other than it was great morning fishing with my Temple Fork 4 Wt. rod doing what I love to do.
Nice meal look for the recipe in coming post.
dead fish and dragon flies... what more would a guy need?
ReplyDeleteFrozen fish and Dragon Flies--when you forget your camera you improvise. Just nice to be on the water with low humidity.
ReplyDeleteNice catch Bill...really nice looking fly
ReplyDeletePat this catch was in water about 25 ft deep. The water is crystal clear so the fish can see the fly a long way up. Really fun to catch these bulls that deep because the first thing they do is head to deeper warter.
ReplyDeleteYou should let me borrow that fly and see if it will catch fish on the creek. I saw fish hitting dragonflies on the water when I was there last....just kidding. I'm sure I will be too busy catching smallmouth with the crawfish. I will send pics after the trip. Take care.
ReplyDeleteNice lookin gills....what fighters they built in such a small package...Killer fly as well...
ReplyDeleteThe story on this fly is not good as far as getting another one--my buddy had only one and neither one of us know how to tie anything close to this little guy. Sad isn't it??
ReplyDeleteTrent
ReplyDeleteI will save it for the trip we are going to make in the fall on Bear creek---oops I said the name of the creek, and I just discovered the delete and backspace keys are not working my keyboard?????
