The fly is about as explosive, got to love it. We started just before dawn fishing with large topwaters. On my first cast in the dark, I picked up a nice 22" speckled trout. We spent maybe seven hours in the water and waded two miles into the bay. It was a blast as the bay was full of redfish that would explode on the top waters blowing straight up into the air! Half the time we hooked up. Watching the swell behind the lure as we walked the dog was thrilling, too! I had many trips with better catches but that was one of the most memorable.texasflyfisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07807956251544952743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8518971929369280752.post-91935197045768683922011-01-21T19:39:38.056-05:002011-01-21T19:39:38.056-05:00Damsel

I use to tournament bass fish some years ago. After my daughter married a guy from Tennessee I have done very little bass fishing with the casting reels, now it is with the fly rod. I had fly fish all my adult life but never really got back into it until my son-in-law carried me on my first trout fishing trip in the northern part of Tennessee, after that I was hooked for life. You might say it is my passion now. Try some Boogle Poppers on your local lakes around this summer, they are some of the best poppers I have ever used. The thing was, a fallen tree was there and I tried to hard to fight him and the current. I got him up on the other side of the tree. BEAUTIFUL and large.

I reached down to take hold of him, he shook and fell into the river.Joshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02282063783521670899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8518971929369280752.post-35881405503104711822011-01-21T10:11:01.351-05:002011-01-21T10:11:01.351-05:00I recall an epic evening last summer.
