I saw some dead fish last year in this lake as a result of over fertilizing. I hope the same thing doesn't happen this year. I am still waiting for the water to clear. The fertilize is used to increase the insect growth in the lake, thus giving the bluegill and bass more food to feed on. I am not against fertilizing a lake, but why do it when the spawn is about to occur. The best times is late July, August, and September.
